How to spend your free time in Harghita Bãi
Balu Resort
It is one of Romania’s oldest adventure parks, covering a total of 1.5 hectares. One of the greatest specialties of the adventure park is the largest runner of Central Europe, the 985 m Tyrolean which (350 m) passes over a lake too. There are 11 different levels of difficulty in Balu Park, where children and adults alike can find the perfect one for them. The adventure park is closed from October to April, during the spring is open at weekends and in summer it works with a full program (Monday – Sunday: 9:00 – 19:00).
Mineral water sources
The most important sources of mineral water in Harghita Bai are called „Csipike”, „Vallató”, „Piricske”, „Szemvíz” and „Lobogó”. The health benefit of these waters is roughly the same, their consumption is recommended for the relief of cardiovascular complaints and chronic inflammations.
Natural gas treatment
After the renovation, the gas bath called „mofetta” of Harghita-Bai was reopened in 2014 for the guests, who visit the place because of rheumatic complaints. No medical dispensing paper is required to use the gas bath.
Skiing
Harghita Bai is a popular ski resort, where the skiing season usually lasts for four months, from December to March, when the snow layer sometimes exceed even 60 cm.

Snowboard equipment, ice skates and sledges rental are available near the ski slopes.
* The pension offers a heated, ski storage room for free use.
Biking
If you would like to take a bicycle tour, we can arrange the rental of 20-25 bikes. Please inform the reception in advance to make the arrangements.
Walking tour
The surrounding area is ideal for long walks, shorter or longer trips. The heavenly view, the clean air and the proximity of nature will accompany you on your way. Go for a long hike only in groups, with appropriate clothing and equipment, and only with an experienced guide!
